What to Expect

WORSHIP AT NCOC
We seek to encounter God’s presence when we come together in worship. Our worship is filled with praise, scripture, communion, and prayer. We seek to glorify our God while also building each other up. Anyone and everyone is welcome at NCOC.  Come as you are and experience Jesus with us!

COMMUNION
We share in communion every week. In taking the bread that represents the body of Jesus and the cup that represents his blood, we remember and celebrate Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. Anyone who wants to celebrate God's love through Jesus is welcome to join us in taking communion.

THE OFFERING
We don’t pass the plate at NCOC. Most members give by mailing in checks or by setting up regular contributions through online bill-pay. There is also a box at the door for anyone who ones to make a contribution in-person.

We expect our members to support the work of the church financially. We don’t ask our guests to contribute. However, if you’d like to, we promise to do our best to use it to love God and love our neighbor.

THE MESSAGE
NCOC believes it is important to deliver relevant and applicable lessons that are helpful to daily life and true to God’s Word. Whether you’re young or old, seeking Christ for the first time, or a longtime Christian, there’s something in the lesson for you.

PRAISE
One of the unique things about NCOC is that the music is ‘a cappella,’ meaning that we sing without musical instruments. We love the beauty and joy of worshiping God from our hearts with our voices. We believe you will find the singing meaningful and uplifting, with everyone invited to participate.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We have classes every Sunday for kids from infant through high school. These classes meet at 9:30, before worship.

In the coming weeks, as conditions continue to improve, we will be bringing back our staffed nursery (infant to 2 years) and Children’s Church (3 years to 1st Grade). In the meantime, we have three family rooms for guests and members with small children. They are wired so you can hear what’s happening in the auditorium. Our usher will be happy to direct you to them.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Whatever is most comfortable. Some of us get dressed up. Others wear shorts. We're much more concerned with spirit than apparel.
